COMPANY Cesta Varaždin

Stemming it's development on a very rich construction tradition in the County of Varazdin, Cesta - Varazdin has been continuously improving its construction activities, especially those concerned with highways, roads and other traffic related construction works.

Since the 1960's, Cesta-Varazdin has been going through various aspects of development, in the realm of highway construction in the Republic of Croatia. Since 1992 it has been established as a joint stock corporation. From there on Cesta-Varazdin has undergone a very intensive period of development, doubling its capacity and production. Today, Cesta-Varazdin is a joint stock company almost entirely owned by the employees.

Cesta-Varazdin has today over 650 experienced, highly qualified and specialized employees. Besides that, Cesta-Varazdin owns and operates several quarries and the most modern road construction equipment. These include asphalt plants, quarry and gravel pit exploitation plants and plants for production of quality asphalt and concrete aggregates. In addition, Cesta-Varazdin owns equipment and plants for materials stabilization, transport and earthmoving. The company is therefore in full control of road materials production and construction process.

Production capacities of asphalt plants place Cesta-Varazdin as the leader and the largest asphalt products manufacturer in the Republic of Croatia. The latest addition, fully computerized and automatic asphalt plants in Lepoglava and Posedarje are the most modern plants in Europe.

In effort to maintain it's role as the industry leader in highway construction market, Cesta-Varazdin, the holding company, has established a number of specialized companies who's activities are managed and coordinated by the Cesta-Varazdin, joint stock company board. The organisation of the company is such that it can successfully answer both the needs of smaller market and those of the most demanding and extensive road construction works.
